Alexander Yi Qi Fan (b.1998, Sydney) is an Asian-Australian multidisciplanary creative who works across brand direction, curation, event coordination, social media coordination, copywriting, illustration and painting.

Born to immigrant Asian parents a longing identity as an Asian-Australian has molded his practices throughout his career with identity and representation. Inspired by not only Asian-Australian narratives, Fan believes that sharing culture is the truest way to connect with one another, through shared creative expression and identity.

Fan opened Blank Gallery in 2023 alongside with the expansion of MAILLOT into Haymarket Sydney. Blank Gallery was a dynamic creative space that prides itself as a gallery where art is not simply just an object to be observed, but an experience to be lived. Blank Gallery seeked to challenge the traditional notions of a gallery space taking the gallery scene off the pedestal that is on in Sydney and create a fully accessible creative hub. Blank Gallery was a hope to uplift an already limited accesibility art scene so that artists of all practices at all stages had a platform to share creatively.

Blank Gallery in its two years hosted 20 exhibitions, 8 live music performances, 7 workshops, 6 feasts, 5 film screenings, 4 brand activations, 3 networking events, and 1 museum.
